v0.2.72 — Short release summary

This release updates the navigation menu's hover behavior by defaulting open/close delays to 0 (immediate) and documents the behavior.

@data-slot/navigation-menu

  • 🐛 Fix: Default hover delays now immediate — delayOpen and delayClose default to 0ms (previously 200ms / 150ms). This makes menus open/close immediately on hover by default.
  • ✨ Behavior note: Option resolution still follows precedence JS > data-* > default; you can continue to override delays via options or data attributes.
  • How to restore previous timing: set options.delayOpen / options.delayClose or the corresponding data attributes (e.g., data-delay-open="200", data-delay-close="150") to reintroduce a hover delay.
  • Files changed: packages/navigation-menu/src/index.ts
  • No API surface changes or breaking API removals. Note: this is a behavioral change — if your app relied on the former hover delays for UX, update your configuration to preserve that behavior.
