Install or upgrade: download QuickLook.Plugin.StickyPosition.qlplugin, select it in Explorer, press Space, click Install, restart QuickLook. Saved positions from 1.0.0 carry over.

- File types you haven't placed are left to QuickLook's own placement. 1.0.0 opened them in a tall column on the right; to keep that, add
<DefaultPosition>0.545,0.03,0.42,0.92</DefaultPosition>to the config (see README). - Lock position for .pdf / Unlock in the ⋯ menu. While a type is locked, dragging or resizing moves only that window; the next file of that type still opens at the locked spot.
- Menu items name the file type, and act on the window whose menu you clicked.
Fixed
- Multiple monitors: the preview opens on the monitor QuickLook chose, not the one the hidden window happened to be on.
- Fixed-size previews (folders, unknown files, the plugin installer) keep their size; only their position is remembered.
- Pinned ("prevent closing") windows: the first preview after pinning is placed; dragging a pinned window saves nothing; a new preview no longer opens exactly on top of another preview window.
- Clicking the title bar without moving the window no longer saves a position.
- A saved position can't put the title bar off-screen.
- If a QuickLook update renames the internals the plugin relies on, it writes one line to QuickLook's log instead of failing silently.
Tested on QuickLook 4.5.0.
