A minimal Markdown notepad inside Ableton Live 12 for lyrics, ideas, and to-dos — with global notebooks plus per-project notes that travel with your Set.

Install

  1. Download Session-Notes-0.1.0.ablx below.
  2. In Live: Settings → Extensions, then drag the .ablx onto the page.
  3. Restart Live, then right-click a track / clip slot / scene → Extensions → Session Notes: Open…

Requirements

  • Ableton Live 12 with the Extensions feature (SDK 1.0.0-beta.0)
  • Developer Mode must be off to use the installed extension
  • macOS (Apple Silicon tested)

Notes

  • Notes autosave on close; Revert discards edits made since opening.
  • Per-project notes need at least one audio clip or sampled instrument in the Set to locate the project folder; Sets with only synths (or unsaved Sets) fall back to the global notebooks.
