Download: get it from frink.dev/download, or use the installers attached below.

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later: Frink-0.4.0-arm64.dmg (Apple Silicon) or Frink-0.4.0.dmg (Intel)

  • Linux, ARM: frink_0.4.0_arm64.deb or Frink-0.4.0-arm64.AppImage

Highlights

Added

  • OpenCode joins Frink as a preview, free models included, under your usual permission rules
  • GitHub Copilot joins Frink as a preview, with your own sign-in, free plan included
  • Cursor joins Frink as a preview, with your paid Cursor plan and nothing extra to install
  • Haiku 5.5 joins the Claude model picker with 1M context and effort from Low to Max
  • File paths in agent replies are now badges you can click to open the file in Frink
  • When a dev server runs from a chat's folder, a Preview button in its header opens it
  • Your computer now stays awake while agents work; turn it off in Preferences

Improved

  • New to Flows? Build with AI on the empty Flows page sets up your first one with you
  • Sidebar search now finds any chat by the words in its name, in any order, even with a typo
  • Files you attach or mention now show as the same badge in the chat box and once sent
  • The Flow editor has a new look: tinted step cards, clearer connections and a roomier side panel
  • The open Flow editor now shows an agent's saves at once, and lets you keep your edits or reload
  • Approve or cancel a Flow that's waiting for your OK right from the Work Queue
  • The terminal can now add your selection or its recent output to the chat box in one click
  • Your own Claude hooks now also run in Codex chats, on the events Codex shares with Claude
  • The iPhone Queue now offers Continue or Retry on stopped Flow runs too
  • New Claude chats now find tools you install while Frink is open, no restart needed
  • Frink now does far less background git work in big repos and while agents write ignored files
  • Cmd-click a split pane's header to find its chat in the sidebar
  • Agents in a Flow's chat now know when you've typed to them and when the run has ended

Fixed

  • ClickUp's Task assignees changed trigger can now fire only when a task is assigned to you
  • Codex now lists only the models and speeds your ChatGPT plan has, so free plans just work
  • A Codex sign-in kept in the macOS keychain now connects, instead of "No Codex login found"
  • Claude background work no longer gets stopped when a later reply in that chat fails
  • When an agent saves a large Flow, the chat now confirms what changed and won't create it twice
  • Secret paths like .env and ~/.ssh stay off-limits on macOS whatever their letter case
  • Claude chats in a worktree now use your main checkout's hooks and settings, like Claude Code
  • A message you stopped before the agent saw it now goes out with your next message
  • Retrying or continuing a Flow step that uses the previous step's output no longer fails
  • Flow batch stages no longer finish while a retried run is queued, or stall after Move to Stage
  • Plan is no longer offered on OpenAI, where it edited files instead of planning
  • Messages now send right away while a background agent works, instead of waiting in the queue
  • Auto-approved Flow plans no longer stall for 45 minutes while background agents still run
    • 22 more fixes across Flows, chats, the sidebar, skills and the iPhone app
