UsageLoop 1.1.0 Beta 1 — Linux Preview

This is the first UsageLoop beta for Linux. It is a preview for testing, not a
stable cross-platform release.

Windows users should continue using stable v1.0.8. This prerelease does not
replace it.

I have CI proof for the shared behavior and packaged Linux launch, but this build
has not yet been proven on my real Linux machine. The first target is an x86_64
Ubuntu-family desktop. Other glibc-based distributions and desktop environments
may work, but I am not claiming full support yet.

Run it

UsageLoop needs the signed-in Codex CLI available as codex on PATH, and that
CLI must support codex app-server.

Download UsageLoop-Linux-x86_64.tar.gz and its .sha256 file, then run:

sha256sum -c UsageLoop-Linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha256
tar -xzf UsageLoop-Linux-x86_64.tar.gz
cd UsageLoop-Linux-x86_64
./UsageLoop/UsageLoop

Automatic updates are not available in this beta. Tray behavior depends on the
desktop environment. If no tray is available, UsageLoop keeps the main window
open instead of disappearing into the background.

What I need from testers

Please report your distro and version, CPU architecture, desktop environment,
Wayland or X11 session, Codex CLI path/version, whether the app opens, whether
Sync usage stays read-only and returns a useful result, whether the tray
works, and whether optional sign-in startup behaves correctly.

Report a problem

Do not include credentials, auth files, prompts, responses, conversations, or
account information in a report.
