Newer fields survive older saves, and a few conveniences in the chat pane

Fields written by a newer version are no longer erased

When a build opened a village and saved it, any field that build did not know about was silently dropped from world.json. Several builds can share one village on the same machine (the MSI, the setup installer, a local build), so an older one could erase what a newer one had written — model prices and servant groups were lost this way.

From this version on, fields the running build does not recognise are kept and written back unchanged, including through the settings dialogs, which rebuild what they save from the fields they know. Fields this version has retired on purpose are still discarded, so an old API-key field is not carried forward.

"/" jumps to the chat input

Press "/" when focus is outside the input box and the cursor moves into it. It does nothing while another text field or editor has focus, while a dialog or the guide is open, or on the statistics screen — there, "/" is typed as usual.

Long messages you sent are collapsed

A message you sent that runs over 12 lines or 800 characters is clamped to 6 lines with a Show all button. Copy still takes the full text. Replies from servants are never collapsed.

Smaller changes

  • The startup screen now reads "# starting up..." in English only, instead of Japanese and English side by side. Once the app has loaded, the hint below it follows your language and its colours follow your theme.
  • The guide's step on starting servants now says that no tokens are used until a servant is started. The old wording ("nothing is billed") could be read as if Fuseforks itself were paid.

What you take on

  • The protection starts with this version. A build of v0.2.3 or earlier that opens the same village still erases fields it does not know, including ones added after this release. Keep every copy on this machine at v0.2.4 or later.
  • "/" is taken only when nothing can be typed into. If focus is on a button, "/" moves to the input box; inside any text field or editor it stays a slash.
  • Collapsing goes by the length of the text, not its rendered height, so a message of many very short lines may collapse while a wide window shows it comfortably. Whether a message is expanded is not saved; reopening the conversation collapses it again.
