Beyond Commander 0.7.0 beta1 for Mac

Beyond Commander is a cross-platform Commander-style file manager focused on Linux and Windows, with a macOS Universal 2 alpha, with dual-panel workflows, archive browsing, remote workspaces, integrate
d tools, and Total Commander / Midnight Commander inspired keyboard behavior.

Main capabilities

  • Dual-panel file management with tabs, panel state persistence, Quick View, filters, masks, and Commander keyboard profiles.
  • Linux/KDE and Windows support; macOS Universal 2 (Intel x86_64 + Apple Silicon arm64) alpha is available through the Linux cross-build workflow.
  • Archive browsing without eager full extraction, including ZIP, 7z, RAR, tar and RPM handling through available backends and BC fallbacks.
  • Viewer and editor with search and panel-font-size inheritance.
  • Integrated terminal panel; F9 toggles it in the active panel directory.
  • Linux/Unix chmod/chown operations from the Commands menu.
  • Remote Workspace client support independent of whether the optional bc-daemon server binary is built.
  • Configurable toolbar, command chooser, line breaks and sub-bars.
