[0.3.7] - 2026-09-02

Per-vault configuration + cleaner inserts. Localized wikis can now be
configured inside the vault instead of through server-wide env vars, and
notes.edit after-heading produces well-formed sections.

Added

  • Per-vault config file (issue #39, option 3): a .kobsidian.json at the
    vault root (path via KOBSIDIAN_VAULT_CONFIG_FILE) sets wiki.root, the
    Sources / Concepts / Entities directory names, the index / log / schema
    filenames, staleDays, and the five section headings for that vault.
    Precedence is per-call argument → config file → KOBSIDIAN_WIKI_* env →
    built-in default, so multi-vault sessions no longer need one env block to fit
    every vault. Unknown keys and malformed JSON fail loudly with the file path in
    the message; vault.current now returns config with the effective settings
    (or the error). A JSON Schema for editor completion is published at
    docs/kobsidian.config.schema.json.

Fixed

  • notes.edit after-heading placement: content now lands at the top of
    the heading's section (after the heading and its blank line) instead of on
    the line directly under the heading, and a bullet inserted above an existing
    list joins that list rather than starting a second one. A blank line is kept
    before paragraphs and headings so an inserted bullet never swallows the next
    paragraph as a lazy continuation. after-heading and after-block also no
    longer write a second trailing newline to the file.

Changed

  • Release-facing version metadata in package.json, manifest.json, and
    server.json is aligned at 0.3.7.

Verified

  • tests/vault-config.test.ts covers precedence (per-call → file → env →
    default), layout and heading overrides, staleDays, malformed JSON, unknown
    keys, live re-read after edits, KOBSIDIAN_VAULT_CONFIG_FILE, and the
    vault.current report.
  • Real-vault run over stdio with decoy env headings and a kobsidian.json
    inside the scratch folder: the file wins, wiki.init → wiki.ingest →
    apply-every-proposal produces ## Discussão\n\n- From [[…]] sections.
