v1.0.0 - Native C++20 Port & Enhanced Remapping
What's Changed in v1.0.0
🚀 Core Architecture
- Native C++20 / Win32: Completely rewrote the application in modern C++20 and pure Win32 GDI, replacing .NET runtime dependencies with a standalone ~385 KB binary.
- Low Memory Footprint: Consumes < 6 MB active RAM and drops to < 2 MB when minimized to the system tray via working set memory trimming.
🎮 Input Remapping & Telemetry
- Bluetooth Axis Mapping: Maps 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth DirectInput axes correctly, including Left Stick (
lX,lY), Right Stick (lZ,lRz), triggers, and bumpers to a virtual Xbox 360 controller via ViGEmBus. - Live Input Diagnostic: Real-time visual feedback showing stick tracking crosshairs, dynamic ABXY layout, LB/RB bumper indicators, and LT/RT analog depth meters.
- Selectable Polling Rates: Configurable update intervals of 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, and 1000 Hz backed by multimedia precision timers (
timeBeginPeriod). - Software Stick Curves: Linear (1:1), Smooth Aim (cubic S-curve), and Aggressive (square-root) response curves.
- Optional Hair Trigger: User-configurable toggle that maps any trigger pull beyond the deadzone to full 255 actuation.
- Hardware BLE Battery Monitor: Real-time battery percentage query via Windows WinRT Bluetooth Low Energy GATT services.
⚙️ Configuration & Usability
- Registry Settings Persistence: Saves and restores user configuration from
HKCU\Software\Ultimate2CFixer\Settings. - System Tray Support: Background minimization and auto-start capability.
