The bHaptics C/C++ SDK, now packaged as a self-contained sdk/ folder with a CMake package, 32-bit Windows and macOS libraries, and runnable examples.

Download

  • bhaptics-cpp-2.7.1.zip contains only the SDK (include/, lib/, cmake/, README.md, THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt). Extract it and point CMake at it with -Dbhaptics_DIR=<extracted>/cmake, or follow README.md inside for Visual Studio without CMake.
  • Source code gives you the whole repository, including the examples.
Platform Architectures
Windows 10 / 11 x64, x86
macOS 10.12 or later Apple silicon + Intel (universal, signed and notarized)

Highlights

  • Windows x86 and macOS libraries, next to Windows x64.
  • CMake package: find_package(bhaptics 2.7 CONFIG REQUIRED) → bhaptics::bhaptics, picking x64 or x86 to match your build.
  • Examples: hello.c, play_events.cpp (strength, speed, rotation, offset, looping) and motor_control.cpp (playDot, playPath).
  • Functions for setups with several devices of the same type: playWithStartTimeToDevice, playLoopToDevice, playDotToDevice, playPathToDevice.
  • bHapticsShutdown() to call before unloading the library (plugins, mods).
  • BHAPTICS_VERSION_* macros. The header pins __cdecl on Windows and is plain ASCII.

Upgrading from the previous version

Rebuild your application; replacing the DLL alone is not enough. Changes:

  • #include "library.h" → #include <bhaptics/bhaptics.h>
  • pause → pauseEvent
  • reInitMessage → retryInitialize
  • resume returns void
  • playWaveform is removed from the header
  • bHapticsGetHapticMessage / bHapticsGetHapticMappings take int32_t* status
