This beta release fixes Switch 2 controllers, makes OTA updates and restarts faster, and adds N64 keyboard and mouse support.

Changelog

New features

  • Add support for multiple simultaneous Switch 2 controllers. (from bjerreman's fork)
  • OTA updates now stream: the adapter accepts firmware data as writes without response.
Updating to this release will still write at the old speed, since the old FW is the one receiving it.
  • Add support for pairing a keyboard or mouse for N64DD software and libdragon-preview.

Bug fixes

  • Fix Switch 2 NSO GC controller phantom stick input. (darthcloud#1249, from Last-Colossi's fork)
  • Fix NSO GC controller analog trigger idle noise. (from Last-Colossi's fork)
  • Fix Switch 2 controller init storing the wrong key when a flash read answer arrives out of order. (from Ryan Copley's fork)
  • Fix controller locked out after its connection dropped during init. (from Ryan Copley's fork)
  • Fix heap overflow in debug trace mode. (from Ryan Copley's fork)
  • Fix adapter stuck waiting for a BLE controller that stopped advertising.
  • Fix 9-second hang on every restart, including after an OTA update.
  • Disconnect all devices, including the config app, before a restart, deep sleep, or factory reset. The app now sees the adapter go right away instead of after a timeout.
  • Report a rejected OTA update as a failure instead of a success.
  • Fix FW version and name truncation.

Other changes

  • The QEMU test suite now includes a Switch 2 NSO GC controller test.
  • The archives now also include the GBA HD bootloader (bootloader/bootloader_gbahd.bin). The SEA board has a 26 MHz crystal, so use it when flashing a GBA HD over USB.

Tested on a Laser Bear GC internal adapter with 2 NSO GC controllers, a Retro Scaler GC dongle, a RetroTime GC dongle, a Retro Scaler N64 dongle & a HW1 N64 dev board.

Flashed using in-development iOS/iPadOS BlueRosetta app. Should also work fine using the official BlueRetroCfg site.
