Side A v1.0.1
- Songs by button is on for new installs: previous and next sit in the listening room from the start.
- Clearer hints in the room: how to change songs, and that tapping the tonearm raises and lowers the needle.
- Spotify setup explains itself: when Spotify doesn't recognise the app, settings say which package and SHA‑1 to add in Spotify's dashboard.
Side A v1.0.0
The first release.
- Records or cassettes: pick a look at the start (and change it in settings): a walnut hi‑fi with a turntable, or a silver tape deck. Each comes in its own light or dark theme, or follows the phone's.
- The record shop: one album a week, on the delivery day you pick; up to six put aside on the counter; the first three free.
- Three ways to bring an album home: from what your streaming player is playing, from a folder of your own files, or by name.
- The shelf: twenty‑four places, spines on walnut shelves or cassettes in a rack. When it's full, one goes to the second‑hand shop with a farewell line, and can be bought back.
- The listening room: silence before the needle, side A and then turn it over, a tonearm to drag (and scratch with), piano keys and real‑time winding for cassettes, VU or LED meters. Picking up the phone lifts the needle.
- Wear: sleeves, spines, vinyl and labels age with listening; worn records crackle more, stretched tapes wobble more.
- Listening along with Spotify, YouTube Music, Yandex Music and others through notification access: the album is recognised, its songs learnt, skips scratch the record. Play the album starts it from the room where the player allows it.
- Real recordings (optional): CC0 vinyl crackle and tape hiss, under folder records and over your streaming app.
- Spotify without opening it (optional): with your own Spotify Client ID (Settings → Spotify shows how), Play the album starts it in Spotify quietly, from the first song, and Browse your Spotify in the shop brings albums from your recent plays, library and picks to the counter.
- Find any album in Spotify: search its whole catalogue from the shop, or Share → Side A from Spotify; the album comes to the counter with its cover, year and songs. This is the one thing that uses the internet.
- Songs by button (optional): previous and next in the room; the needle lifts and drops by itself, a cassette skips the winding, and a skip from the room never scratches.
- The inner sleeve: a line written after listening, kept with the record.
- English and Russian.
