Stele v1.2.0
- Anki import asks which field is the front, the back and the example, showing what each field holds and a preview. The first guess skips fields that are only a sound, so dictionary decks come in with their meanings.
- The import runs on the app's own time: leaving the screen no longer cuts a big deck short. Sounds are skipped while unpacking.
- Importing an Anki deck is offered on the empty Digs screen too.
- Long answers (dictionary definitions) are set in a smaller, plain hand so they fit; pictures show whole instead of cropped.
Stele v1.1.2
- A big dig no longer stalls the museum for a moment on opening.
Stele v1.1.1
- Fixed a crash on start with a big dig (an imported Anki deck): the forgeries were shuffled inside a sort.
Stele v1.1.0
- Every screen explains itself on a first visit: a placard with what happens there and what to do, put away with "Got it". Settings → Hints shows them all again.
Stele v1.0.0
- First release: a museum you fill yourself. Digs for each collection; finds as pairs, terms, phrases with [gaps] and questions, with your own sentence, an association, where you met it and a picture.
- Cleanings scheduled by FSRS-4.5: recall first (typed answers are checked, typos forgiven), stake one to three chisel strikes, then the brush sweeps the dust off the answer. Pairs asked both ways and, in a language dig, by ear.
- Five stages from the ground to the showcase, drawn on each shard; a green patina on what has gathered dust.
- Vessels that glue together with gold seams once every shard is clean; the workshop for finds cracked by a confident mistake; the restorer's eye for calibration.
- Today's test pit with a rare find, the sealed door once a month that opens a new hall, forgeries built from the finds you confuse.
- Sift a text: what share of it you know, finds confirmed with a real sentence, new words taken into a dig.
- Quick ways in: share or select text in any app, a quick-settings tile, launcher shortcuts, voice, lists, CSV and Anki decks (.apkg, including the newest zstd packages).
- The evening bell, the field journal, a backup to one file with pictures. English and Russian; Russian addresses you as he or she.
