Methods that drive a goal
- Mandala 64: Ohtani's 9×9 chart as a star map, with eight pillars and 64 actions. Actions can be habits or one-off steps, a star lights up when one has become part of you, and the chart can be shared as a poster.
- OKR: an objective, key results with start and target, check-ins with history, a 0–1 score, confidence and initiatives.
- 12-week year: weekly tactics, an execution score for every week against the 85 % line, a vision, and a review week that starts the next year.
- 4DX: the wildly important goal, lead measures on a weekly scoreboard, the last eight weeks and a weekly commitment.
- 1% a day: a daily target that compounds, a chart of target against what you did, streaks and projections.
- 30-day pact: a star for each day, daily notes, and persist, pause or pivot at the end.
- Reverse plan: a ladder of dated steps from the finish back to today.
- Milestones: an optional number, milestones and habits.
