What’s New in Auto-Apply Coupon (v1.0.4)
This update makes the automatic coupon feature more reliable and more user-friendly:

No more blocked checkouts:
If a coupon can’t be used because of product restrictions (like sale items), the plugin now removes it automatically so customers can still check out. -
Clear notices for customers:
When a coupon is removed because it isn’t valid, the customer gets a clear message explaining why. -
Mixed-cart support:
If the cart has items that qualify for the coupon and items that don’t, the coupon still applies to the valid items.
Customers will see a message letting them know some products aren’t eligible, so there’s no confusion. -
More accurate WooCommerce compatibility:
The system now fully respects all native WooCommerce rules—excluded products, excluded categories, sale item restrictions, etc. -
Cleaner, non-duplicated messages:
WooCommerce recalculates totals multiple times during checkout, which could previously cause the same notice to appear more than once.
Notices are now shown only once, even during checkout AJAX refreshes. -
Improved handling of carts with only excluded items:
The plugin now checks whether the cart contains only excluded items before attempting to apply the coupon, avoiding WooCommerce’s “invalid coupon” error messages. -
Smarter notice resets when the cart changes:
If customers add or remove items and coupon eligibility changes, the plugin resets notice flags to ensure messaging stays accurate.
Overall, this update makes discounts more transparent and prevents customers from getting stuck during checkout while providing clearer, more consistent communication throughout the cart and checkout experience.
