Changes

  • Fix saved proxies appearing only after reopening the popup, and restore routing on the first request after background startup.
  • Restrict proxy credential release to verified proxy authentication challenges for the enabled container assignment.
  • Prevent assigned routes from silently falling back to a direct connection; block intercepted requests when saved settings are invalid or cannot be read.
  • Correct SOCKS5 routing, preserve credential whitespace, enable SOCKS5 remote DNS, and retain legacy SOCKS4 support.
  • Improve the popup and settings with editing, labels, pause/resume, new container tabs, dark mode, and keyboard access.
  • Exclude credentials from backups by default and validate imports before applying changes.
  • Remove browsing and credential-bearing logs; document privacy, permissions, and transport limits accurately.
  • Add regression tests, locked development tools, CI checks, and an allowlisted release build.

Compatibility

Requires Firefox 140 or later on desktop. The extension ID and valid existing 1.0.3 assignments are preserved. Firefox may ask you to accept the added cookies permission, which supports container identity access; the extension does not read cookie contents.

Security note

Users of earlier versions should consider rotating proxy passwords after updating. Previous authentication handling could disclose configured proxy credentials to websites visited in a container using those credentials. The code review did not establish exploitation.
