0.95.5 alpha Win32-only Qt5-based release
This experimental 32-bit build targets Windows 7 and later and requires an SSE2-capable CPU. It has received minimal testing; Windows 7 compatibility is unverified.
Provided as-is, without support. Bug reports specific to this build will not be accepted.
0.95.4 BETA
Full Changelog: 0.95.3...0.95.4
A bug fix release with multiple behind the scenes changes. No need to update if everything's working for you.
- Catch up on overdue feeds: When updates on startup are disabled, the app now waits one minute, then checks feeds whose scheduled updates were missed while it was closed. Individual feed schedules and disabled feeds are respected.
- Safer saving: Improved reliability when keeping the database in memory. Failed saves are reported, and an exit-time save failure offers retry and recovery options.
- More reliable cleanup: Failed article cleanup is rolled back rather than leaving partially completed changes, with clearer error messages.
- Performance improvements: Reduced unnecessary work when checking for duplicate articles, cleaning up old articles, and copying the database.
- Correct article times: Fixed local-time display for articles published under a different daylight-saving time offset.
- Better feed icons and status messages: Improved website icon detection and made errors in Feed Properties readable.
- Consistent website compatibility settings: Images, downloads, and update checks now use the configured User-Agent and applicable website overrides.
- Safer connections and shutdown: HTTPS requires TLS 1.2 or newer. Improved handling of active downloads during exit and saving when the app receives a normal termination request on Linux or macOS.
- Clearer troubleshooting logs: Backup messages explain what triggered them, while debug logs no longer dump entire articles.
- Fixed an error when switching article tabs and improved handling of feed links sent to an already running instance.
- Updated Russian translations and documentation.
Contains a minor regression/bug: now notifications sounds are played per feed for each update cycle. Will be fixed in the next version (already fixed in master).

0.95.0 BETA
Full Changelog: 0.93.0...0.95.0
A BETA release. This version should start and shut down much faster, but it may also delete your articles. Beware! It will also no longer freeze when fetching all feeds.
Version 0.95.0 BETA, use with caution! (2026-09-27)
- NEW FEATURE: Choose whether each feed follows the global update schedule, uses its own schedule, or does not update automatically.
- NEW FEATURE: Change settings for several feeds at once from the Tools menu.
- NEW FEATURE: Disabled feeds are marked with a red X. Folders show the marker when all their feeds are disabled.
- NEW FEATURE: Article filters can apply to all feeds, including feeds added in the future.
- NEW FEATURE: Show or hide the feeds pane from the View menu.
- NEW FEATURE: Add an option to keep the window visible on all workspaces under X11. Wayland users will have to ask their compositor whether it feels like offering the same feature.
- NEW FEATURE: Produce a Linux AppImage.
- NEW FEATURE: Explicitly warn about using a prerelease version.
- CHANGE: Odd-numbered releases are beta versions for testing; even-numbered releases are stable versions. This release includes substantial changes. Back up your feeds and settings before upgrading, and please report any problems.
- CHANGE: New subscriptions prefer HTTPS. The app asks before using an HTTP address you entered explicitly.
- CHANGE: Feed updates keep the app responsive. In testing with about 60 feeds, the latest improvements also made startup and shutdown roughly three times faster.
- BUG FIX: Fix an update that could get stuck when a feed requires authentication; cancelling feed requests now works more reliably.
- BUG FIX: Fix feed dragging near the top and bottom of the list on Qt 6.
- BUG FIX: Prevent crashes when exiting from the tray while an Article Filters window is open.
- BUG FIX: Fix article spacing and restore the separation between the heading and content, bringing the layout closer to QuiteRSS.
- BUG FIX: Improve handling of database errors during feed updates.
- BUG FIX: Prevent modal filter windows from being hidden while the main window remains blocked.
- CHANGE: Prepare the application for translations.
