Fleet Runner v0.8.9
P3 — Terminal interactive parity
The "My machine" terminal is now fully interactive (char-level keystrokes, Ctrl-C/Tab/arrows, live resize) — at parity with the server terminal.
What's new
- Bridge rawkey/resize fast lane — a non-durable event type rides the existing bridge
NOTIFY→ SSE channel (no per-keystroke DB rows, no command-claim). Dropped keys are re-typed; commands are unaffected. - Runner support —
bridge-subscriberdispatchesrawkey/resizetowriteRawKey/resizePty, writing bytes verbatim into the agent's owned PTY. Strictly additive and independent of the autopilot command-drain path. - Verified end-to-end — typed in the browser "My machine" terminal → echoed from a runner-owned PTY (no zellij dependency). Killing an agent leaves the runner green (PTY isolation confirmed).
Auto-updates from v0.8.8. Linux (AppImage + deb).
Fleet Runner v0.8.8
Reliability: the runner can no longer go silently offline after the dashboard restarts (e.g. during a deploy).
The wait=0 command poll had no request timeout, so a connection left half-open by a backend restart could hang the poll forever — the poller went silent, the process stayed alive (so nothing restarted it), and the autopilot loop stalled. The poll is now bounded with a 20s timeout; on timeout it backs off and retries instead of hanging. Pairs with running the runner under a supervised service (auto-restart) for end-to-end 'never silently offline'.
Fleet Runner v0.8.7
Injection + verification reliability.
- Prompts now actually submit. A large multi-line dispatched/next-best prompt was pasted into the agent's input but never sent (stuck as "[Pasted text +N lines]") — Claude's TUI absorbed the trailing Enter into the bracketed paste. Now the submit Enter is sent as a separate keystroke after the paste settles.
- Honest dispatch verification. Dispatch verified via the session-file mtime (which only bumps when a turn finishes), so it falsely reported "didn't pick up" and re-injected — risking a duplicate task. Now verifies via the owned PTY's running/idle status and only retries when genuinely idle.
- Runner version is visible. The heartbeat now reports the runner version; Control shows "Connected · sync … · runner v0.8.7".
Fleet Runner v0.8.6
Autopilot loop reliability: peek no longer freezes the poller (PTY-only async streaming), status heartbeat is time-boxed, and launched agents appear in ~1s instead of after the 5-min heartbeat.
Fleet Runner v0.8.5
Fix live terminal (/terminal → My machine): peek_start no longer blocks on zellij; owned-PTY streams upgrade when agent launches; stale dual-runner instances are terminated on startup; zellij execSync timeouts prevent poller hangs.
Fleet Runner v0.8.4
Diagnostic build for the live terminal view (/terminal → My machine). Adds a one-line marker so a blank live view reports whether the agent is in an owned PTY and how much output buffered. Functionally identical to 0.8.3 (PTY-default dispatch) otherwise.
Fleet Runner v0.8.3
Agents now run in a terminal Fleet Runner owns by default — no more dispatch/launch timeouts when your Zellij session isn't attached (the recurring spawnSync /bin/sh ETIMEDOUT).
- If an owned-terminal launch ever fails, it falls back to Zellij automatically, so launching can't dead-end.
- Watch any agent live from the web app in full color with scrollback.
Makes the owned-PTY execution from 0.8.2 the default (set FLEETCROWN_RUNNER_PTY=false to force Zellij). Removes the structural cause of the launch timeouts: launching no longer depends on an attached Zellij client.
