Generic HTTP Image from URL - Poll Pulse

• I have researched the list of existing Companion modules and requests and have determined this has not yet been requested
• Search for Image from URL yielded no results

What you would like to be able to make it do from Companion: Currently the Image from URL Poll Interval is either 0 for disabled or some number of milliseconds. There is no way to assign a custom variable to that Poll Interval. Either a Manual Pulse or Custom Variable assigned to the poll interval would alleviate the constant streaming of thumbnails and allow them to only be pulled on an update flag.

Although assuming this is Resolume Arena, you're probably better off getting it added to that module directly so everyone benefits:

Well I guess two requests, one in generic HTTP as it's likely to benefit others in future, but one in Resolume as that's the more specific use case!

Yeah, when I first got into combining Companion with Resolume the Resolume module didn't support any REST API stuff yet and the specific module functions for OSC didn't work with what I needed either so I'm operating entirely in Generic HTTP and Generic OSC to get custom commands going

Oooh as in not planned as in Generic HTTP Image From URL will always have to be polling and not have any kind of manual poll request??

Very unfortunate as it would be a massive system optimization for me to NOT be polling 128 thumbnails CONSTANTLY and I have no way of controlling that until the frequency can host user variables or there's a button in the feedback module for a manual request that can host user variables
