Bizarre Transaction: Address Changed! #5865
Description
I had a very bizarre transaction generated by an older version of Copay wallet yesterday.
For some reason, the address that version 2.7.0 of Copay (not Bitpay) on my Mac OS/X generated to receive incoming bitcoin : 1PPugkwQuwNS9ek523e73UyhSdxYrkcZcV was CHANGED after receipt, to instead become : 3Q5vcJRrTqgpEpSW99JhU7LdbAFGRqD2Tr
The amount sent in this transaction was 0.6789 and it WAS at first received by the 1PPug address, I think... (?) I am almost certain that I saw it come INTO the wallet at that address, quickly at first, before it then "disappeared" and only came BACK again later on the 3Q5vc address (?)
In fact, the blockchain.info explorer still shows that address involved in the transaction, with transaction ID : fb8625716cd7ef05023a5a41074124cee8fd1ac3326839679f7db9f970845ffa

But other block explorers show the same transaction id/hash using the "second" address 3Q5vc
This weird transaction therefore has led to such bizarre stuff as THIS, in the bc.info blockchain explorer, where some bitcoin is being sent FROM 'nothing' and TO 'nothing'... LOL

But, again, the Copay wallet DID at first give me the "bad" address to SEND TO, and it was "there" in the beginning (I think...?)
Anyway, no funds LOST at least... I have gotten the 0.6789 out of that wallet already and probably won't USE this wallet any more (created a new one just to be safe after this weirdness) but just wanted to put the info up here for you guys to see...
Anyone have any idea WTF really happened here? It's bizarre.
