Firefox Passkey authentication doesn't pop up properly with multiple screens of differing display scaling

Steps To Reproduce

1. Go to any site that allows passkey login that you have a saved passkey for.
2. Drag the window to a non-primary desktop screen.
3. Click on Sign in with Passkey

Expected Result

Same result as launching it within a primary window, pops up in a small window on top of the screen you clicked "Sign in with passkey" for.

Actual Result

Window is launching, however it launches in the background, unable to be interacted with or moved.

This does NOT happen on Chrome when I tested another browser. When I move the window to a primary screen in Firefox, this works as expected, however it does not work in any non-"main" display.
It also could be related to HDMI vs DP inputs, as I tried a secondary monitor in HDMI and it works, but not any DisplayPort monitor.

Note that this looks like it could be the same issue mentioned here: https://community.bitwarden.com/t/passkey-dialog-not-visible-when-firefox-is-on-secondary-monitor/67590/1. That post does include a workaround that allows passkeys to be used on the secondary monitor - although it is a bit clunky.

I have the same issue with all Bitwarden popup windows on my second monitor.

I have this issue and it is linked to the Scale and layout % Display setting in Windows. It happens regardless of HDMI or DP for my additional screens.

My primary monitor scaling is set to 150% and my 2nd and 3rd monitors are set to 100%. The Passkey authentication pops up to the right and above the top right corner of the monitor where Firefox is located (if on my 2nd/3rd monitor, it's OK on my primary monitor)

If Firefox is on my 2nd monitor, I can grab the popup as it appears on my 3rd monitor which is too it's right.

If I change my primary monitor to 125% and leave the 2nd at 100% then the popup overlaps the 2nd monitor enough to grab it with the mouse and move it.

If I set both primary and 2nd monitor to 100% then the popup appears as expected on my 2nd monitor.

If I set both primary and 2nd monitor to 150% then the popup appears as expected on my 2nd monitor.

The position is calculated using:

left: senderWindow.left + senderWindow.width - popupWidth - offsetRight
top: senderWindow.top + offsetTop

I assume that senderWindow.left + senderWindow.width is not what the developer excpected when using a multi monitor setup.

Thank you all for your input. I was able to reproduce this behaviour and have flagged it to the Engineering department.
Please feel free to post additional information, such as screenshots or a screen video recordings, if you wish.

For added clarity, this was reproduced on Windows 11 Pro with Firefox 129.0.2, where the primary monitor was connected via DisplayPort and its scaling was set to 125%, and the secondary monitor was connected via HDMI and its scaling was set to 100%; I opened the Firefox window on the primary monitor and navigated here (https://www.passkeys.io/), dragged the window the secondary monitor, and then attempted to authenticate via a passkey that's stored inside my Bitwarden vault.

Yep, it looks like its the scaling issue. Display 3 has scaling of 150% at 2160p, all others are 100% at 1080p. Screen 2 had the passkey page open.

Setting all screens to 100% scaling sorted the issue, but obviously it's not a solution :)

Has there been any resolution to this issue? I'm still facing this on Windows 11 23H2 Home (Zen Browser Version 1.0.1-a.19). Both primary (125% scaling) and secondary (100% scaling) displays are 1920x1080. Pinging to refocus attention on this issue.

I just wanted to add that this is also happening on Firefox (133.03) on Linux (Mint 22) and Bitwarden plugin version 2024.12.3. No display scaling is being used, everything is running at native resolution.

I have two displays, though I don't always use the 2nd one. Regardless of if I have my second display enabled or disabled, the passkey popup window always appears on the 2nd display. It is incredibly frustrating!

Experienced in LibreWolf Windows 11 Version 23H2 OS Build 22635.4145. 1080p main monitor with a vertical 1080p secondary monitor. No display scaling.

The passkey window appears off screen in the main monitor and in a bigger window.
