Chrome extension 2026.7.0 fails to load vault entries with self-hosted Vaultwarden

Steps To Reproduce

• Configure the Chrome extension for the self-hosted server.
• Log in successfully.
• Open the Vault tab.
• Vault remains permanently on the loading skeleton.

Expected Result

• Vault items should appear after synchronization.

Actual Result

• Authentication and /api/sync complete successfully, but the Vault tab does not render

Additional Context

• The problem started after updating the Chrome extension to 2026.7.0.
• The server returns HTTP 200 for login, sync, profile and WebSocket requests.

It is important to note that Vaultwarden is not associated with Bitwarden. Vaultwarden is a re-writing of the Bitwarden server code in Rust (n.b. Vaultwarden is NOT a fork of Bitwarden), that is not contributed to nor supported by the Bitwarden team or organization. The security audits granted to Bitwarden do not apply to Vaultwarden, and the Bitwarden support team is not able to respond to questions regarding Vaultwarden.
