What's new in v0.7.3

Integrations

Bearer-only REST for Weave-Tools (opt-in). With TOOLS_REST_REQUIRE_SERVICE_TOKEN=false, Weave-Tools no longer requires the X-Tools-Service-Token header. n8n and other integrations then call /api/v1/tools/* with only Authorization: Bearer <token>, which can be a delegation, personal or wti_ technical-identity token. This is the same model MCP already uses. The default true keeps today's behaviour. (#198)
n8n sample flow: Weave RAG → OpenAI-compatible LLM. An importable workflow and guide are in docs/integrations/n8n-rag-openai.*. The flow acts as a bot provider: it verifies the webhook HMAC, searches Weave-Tools with the per-turn delegation token and answers through any /chat/completions endpoint, returning {answer, sources}. (#198)
MCP reachable from other containers. Without MCP OAuth, the MCP server used to reject every Host header except localhost with 421, so calls such as n8n → weave-tools-mcp:8000/mcp failed. The new MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS setting extends the allowlist and works with and without OAuth. Its Compose default is ["weave-tools-mcp:*"]. DNS-rebinding protection stays on. (#197)

Portal

Index status fixed for lists of more than 50 documents. Once a list held more than 50 released documents, the documents page, home page and knowledge-space overview showed "Index status unavailable" on every row and counted nothing as available in chat. The status requests are now sent in batches of 50. The documents could be found in chat the whole time. (#198)
Steadier status while the platform is busy. If Knowledge has a short outage, Ingest retries once and waits up to 5 s instead of 3 s. For up to 5 minutes it then shows the last status Knowledge confirmed for the same release, marked "as of 14:32". That status is shared across replicas through Redis. After 5 minutes the portal shows a neutral "Updating status…", and only after 10 minutes the warning. Revoked access, a new release or snapshot, or an invalid answer clears the kept status immediately. See contracts/indexing-status.md. (#198)
"Teams" are now "Groups" ("Gruppen") in the portal and admin UI. API fields, database and contracts still use team. (#198)
Roomier dialogs. All portal and admin dialogs are one size wider (576 / 768 / 1152 px). The member search in the knowledge-space access dialog no longer looks like a field inside a field. (#198)

Chat

No second focus frame on fields. The login token field and the bot and model selectors no longer get an extra frame around them when focused. The API access dialog fields now show focus the same way as the login field. (#198)

Upgrade notes

No database migrations.
Two new optional settings: TOOLS_REST_REQUIRE_SERVICE_TOKEN (default true) and MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS (Compose default ["weave-tools-mcp:*"]). If you configure through weave.yaml, re-render with python scripts/weave_config.py render.
Helm: the MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS default only covers the Compose service name. Add your <fullname>-tools-mcp service and any public proxy host yourself.
The portal index-status response gains the fields stale, checked_at and retrying. Older clients ignore them. Update Ingest backend and frontend together.
