Wayfile 1.0.0 — the first stable release of the obsidian-and-gold Bifröst file manager for Wayland.

A comprehensive overhaul of HyprFM by Soyeb Pervez Jim — built on HyprFM's foundations and reworked from the ground up.

Highlights

  • Hybrid default view — a folder grid over a sortable file list with one shared selection
  • Thin-frame, type-coloured icons and accent folders, with a soft gold bloom on hover/selection
  • Five live accent presets — Bifröst, Aurora, Nebula, Ember, Verdant — derived from a single accent on a shared obsidian base; the whole UI retints live
  • Colours settings page — preset picker, token-by-token editing, and save-as-named-theme
  • Unified sidebar — Favorites with colour tags, an expandable Places tree, devices with capacity meters, and network locations
  • Merged tabs into split supertabs, Miller columns, quick preview, async file operations, and git status
  • Type stack — Inter, Cormorant Garamond, JetBrains Mono — and a new compass-folder logo
