It is buildable using https://github.com/jnicolson/gasket-builder, which is in the documentation https://docs.frigate.video/troubleshooting/edgetpu#pcie-coral-not-detected The docs have already been updated for the next release to explain the recommendations more broadly |

I folks, I've running the Coral TPU m.2 version in my NUC (on opensuse) for years, but I am getting interested in the hailo8, which also seems to use m.2 But almost all purchase links says "for the rasberry pi"....does this mean that its somehow custom-configured for the Pi5, and I cant just replace my coral with a hailo8 in my NUC? |

Uh oh!

For almost one year now, the Gasket driver (needed for Coral TPU) has not been buildable on new Linux kernels.
The issue has been raised multiple times on the official Google GitHub repository, and PRs have been proposed: google/gasket-driver#35
No project owner has shown interest in the fact that their driver no longer works.
The last news on the official website (https://coral.ai/news/) was posted on May 5, 2022.
My guess is that Coral is Google's new abandonware.
From now on, what would be the recommendation? GPU? Hailo?
It may be useful to remove recommendations for Coral TPU from the official Frigate website and documentation.
