v0.0.80 I2IDL Digital Learning Glossary: Connected Knowledge Graph
I2IDL Digital Learning Glossary v0.0.80
The glossary now operates as an explicitly connected knowledge graph.
Version 0.0.80 marks the first formal GitHub release of the I2IDL Digital Learning Glossary and a major milestone in its development as open semantic infrastructure for digital learning.
The release contains 397 published concepts, each with a stable identifier, definition, source evidence, provenance, classification, and at least one semantic relationship to another concept in the graph.
Semantic graph
- 397 concepts
- 397 concepts with semantic relationships
- 0 isolated concepts
- 31 broader/narrower relationship pairs
- 644 related relationship pairs
- 100% internal relationship coverage
Relationships use SKOS broader, narrower, and related properties and are editorially reviewed rather than inferred solely from lexical or embedding similarity.
Collections
The graph contains 31 SKOS collections spanning field, type, and curated classifications. Every concept participates in multiple collection structures while maintaining a single stable identity.
The human-facing glossary now exposes collection membership directly on concept cards and allows users to navigate the glossary through those collections.
Human-readable graph navigation
Concept cards expose broader, narrower, and related concepts as navigable semantic neighborhoods, making the underlying graph accessible without requiring knowledge of RDF, SKOS, JSON-LD, or SPARQL.
Linked Data infrastructure
The glossary is published through the persistent https://id.i2idl.org/ namespace with:
- JSON-LD
- Turtle
- dereferenceable concept identifiers
- HTTP content negotiation
- stable concept, definition, source, and collection URIs
- a read-only SPARQL endpoint
- machine-readable provenance and licensing metadata
Validation
Version 0.0.80 passes automated validation for graph integrity, collection membership, provenance, relationship reciprocity, identifier safety, source resolution, and publication security.
This release establishes the I2IDL glossary as a connected semantic foundation for future vocabulary crosswalks, interoperability work, research applications, and AI-supported systems.
