Knowledge Graph Explorer & External Mappings
Version 0.0.85 expands the I2IDL Digital Learning Glossary's semantic infrastructure with an interactive Knowledge Graph Explorer, external vocabulary mappings, and new tools for exploring relationships across digital learning concepts.
The release builds on a curated knowledge graph of 397 concepts, each connected through editorially reviewed semantic relationships. The glossary remains accessible through its human-readable interface, while JSON-LD, Turtle, persistent identifiers, and a read-only SPARQL endpoint support machine-readable access and interoperability.
What's New
Knowledge Graph Explorer: Interactive visualization of the glossary's semantic relationships, with one- and two-hop exploration, field clustering, and concept-specific links.
Research tools: Shortest-path analysis, concept comparison, shared-neighbor exploration, and graph analytics.
Improved search: Relevance-ranked concept search with support for preferred labels, alternate labels, acronyms, and definitions.
External vocabulary mappings: 17 curated mapping assertions connecting glossary concepts to external vocabularies, including UNESCO Thesaurus and Schema.org.
Connected concept navigation: Direct links between glossary entries and corresponding views in the Knowledge Graph Explorer.
Security improvements: Removal of the local JSON-LD upload pathway and safer DOM rendering.
Documentation improvements: Reorganized technical documentation covering architecture, semantic modeling, APIs, SPARQL, security, validation, and publication.
