Native signing status: Windows: unsigned transition artifact. SmartScreen publisher identity is not established. macOS: unsigned transition artifact. Developer ID and notarization are not established. Checksums and GitHub build provenance remain required. Do not bypass SmartScreen or Gatekeeper.

Added

  • quotabot update provides checksum-verified, transactional self-update from
the CLI with stable and preview channels, exact-tag installs, read-only
checks, forced reinstalls, machine-readable results, rollback protection, and
installed-version verification. Release candidates follow the preview
channel and promote naturally to their final stable release.
  • Per-request routing now includes cache-only decisions, deterministic receipts,
active quota leases, provider and account filters, named profile preferences,
local-first and quota-stretch policies, and bounded alert subscriptions across
CLI, MCP, and loopback HTTP surfaces.
  • Model routing includes capability and budget filters, spend classification,
local readiness, hardware-fit guidance, cloud-offload detection, and optional
use of included quota projected to expire unused.
  • The optional desktop app includes the current build, explicit stable and
preview update discovery, grouped provider and display settings, analytics,
routing explanations, and portable bundles for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Fixed

  • Windows self-update works from Windows PowerShell 5.1 by using the .NET
cryptography API and preserving the downloaded archive's .zip suffix.
Affected rc.16 installations can recover once with the exact v0.10.0
installer, after which normal self-update resumes.
  • Cache evidence transactions serialize across processes and isolates, recover
abandoned claims only behind the native lock, preserve bounded acquisition
time, and reject unsafe or malformed cache roots before mutation.
  • Claude authorization, account cleanup, explicit disconnect, partial-cache
recovery, drift quarantine, loopback request completion, MCP capacity
recovery, and provider-specific parsing retain focused regression coverage.

Security

  • Release archives include the exact updater scripts they execute. Each archive
and required SHA-256 sidecar is shape-checked, attested, freshly downloaded,
and reverified before an immutable draft can publish.
  • Authenticated loopback routing proves the exact server connection before
disclosing its bearer. Unauthenticated account labels are pseudonymized, HTTP
and MCP bodies are bounded by size and wall-clock deadlines, and secret-capable
local files retain checked owner-only protection.
  • Runtime policy continues to reject direct paid model, chat, image, and content
generation endpoints. Quota and routing reads make no model calls and never
    read prompts or source code.

Changed

  • Stable publication now explicitly requests GitHub Latest and fails if the
canonical Latest pointer does not match the audited stable tag. Hosted install
smoke exercises both exact-tag acquisition and the unversioned
releases/latest/download path on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • GitHub metadata reads use an explicit existing GH_TOKEN or GITHUB_TOKEN
when present without including that credential in output or errors.
  • Stable 0.10.0 promotes the fully verified rc.17 stabilization inventory and
becomes the default installer release. Windows and macOS artifacts remain
explicitly disclosed unsigned transition artifacts until owner identities and
protected signing rehearsals are complete. Checksums and GitHub provenance
remain required, and platform protections must not be bypassed.
