Release list
IC-SDR v0.5.0-english.15 — Windows, Linux, macOS
Fixes empty SATELLITES SIGNAL lists and an SDR picker that could not be opened.
Transponders. english.14 only attached a handful of builtin frequencies unless UPDATE fetched SatNOGS, and UPDATE was skipped when a TLE cache already existed. This build embeds a SatNOGS snapshot (~1600 objects) so SIGNAL is filled at startup, merges cached downlinks instead of wiping them, sorts ham VHF/UHF first, and refreshes transmitters in the background when SATELLITES opens. GPS/Starlink still have no amateur downlinks.
SDR picker. The top-right header dropdown refused to open with an empty list, and radios were only enumerated after it was already open. Refresh also briefly disabled it, which closed the popup. It now scans in the background, always has items (Scanning radios… / No radios found / real devices), stays enabled with no radio open, and keeps the last enumerated list if a scan returns nothing.
- SATELLITES: MENU → TOOLS → SATELLITES. SIGNAL shows name · mode · frequency. TUNE follows the transponder mode.
- SDR: top-right header dropdown. Preference is stored in
DATA/config/settings.jsonashardware.Driver/hardware.Serial.
Also keeps observer location (english.13), ADS-B map contrast, keyless OSM/Esri maps, audio cut-handle fix, and RTL-SDR startup crash fixes.

IC-SDR v0.5.0-english.14 — Windows, Linux, macOS
Satellite SIGNAL lists now fill from SatNOGS (on UPDATE) plus a builtin amateur/weather table, not only ISS and QO-100. The SDR header is a device picker: choose driver+serial instead of always opening the first Soapy radio. The last choice is saved and reused on startup. Switching stops the IQ stream and reopens only that device; SoapySDR stays loaded.
- SATELLITES: MENU → TOOLS → SATELLITES, then UPDATE once to pull CelesTrak TLEs and SatNOGS transmitters. SIGNAL shows name · mode · frequency. TUNE follows the transponder mode.
- SDR: top-right header dropdown. Preference is stored in
DATA/config/settings.jsonashardware.Driver/hardware.Serial.

v0.5.0 English.9 (maps without API key)
English IC-SDR based on upstream v0.5.0.
Maps without an API key. CARTO Voyager now watermarks every tile with “API KEY REQUIRED”. ADS-B and AIS maps use OpenStreetMap Carto tiles from tile.openstreetmap.de (city/region/street labels, no key). Esri World Street Map is the fallback. Cached tiles moved to DATA/cache/map-tiles-v2/ so the old watermarked PNGs are not reused.
Also keeps the RTL-SDR stream crash fix, first-frame USB delay, software DC SPIKE switch, and tighter ADS-B/AIS/APRS position decode.
- Windows portable —
IC-SDR-v0.5.0-english.9-Windows-x64.zipis the full DATA bundle (Soapy runtime). Run this zip, not the GitHub source tree. - CI archives — Windows/Linux/macOS amd64 and arm64 (
CGO_ENABLED=0). Linux/macOS include a bundled Soapy runtime underDATA/runtime/<os>-<arch>.
The TETRA codec is blkph0x/libtetradec. It decodes clear TCH/ACELP only.

IC-SDR v0.5.0-english.6 — Windows, Linux, macOS
English IC-SDR based on upstream v0.5.0, with a working DC spike switch and labeled ADS-B/AIS maps.
DC SPIKE is a software FFT control (header + FFT panel). It subtracts the I/Q mean and interpolates the center bins. It is independent of hardware IQ CORRECTION and works on HackRF and other generic radios.
ADS-B and AIS maps now use Carto Voyager (OpenStreetMap) Web Mercator tiles with city, state/region, and country labels at street-level zoom. Positions stay on the reported lat/lon. ADS-B CPR rejects teleport jumps; AIS drops invalid 91°/181° coordinates; APRS also decodes Mic-E and compressed positions.
Binaries are compiled with CGO_ENABLED=0 (embedded raylib). Each archive includes four timeslot copies of libtetradec.
- Windows portable —
IC-SDR-v0.5.0-english.6-Windows-x64.zipis the full DATA bundle (SoapySDR/RTL-SDR/SDRplay/Miri, DSD-neo, decoders). Run this zip, not the GitHub source tree. HackRF needs Zadig WinUSB. - Windows amd64 / arm64 CI zips — GUI executable plus a native TETRA codec. ARM64 Windows includes the codec; the x64 Soapy runtime still lives in the portable zip above.

IC-SDR v0.5.0-english.5 — Windows, Linux, macOS
English IC-SDR based on upstream v0.5.0, with HackRF One/Pro support and RSP-Dx antenna A/B/C switching.
A connected HackRF (including HackRF Pro) is opened from Soapy enumeration. SoapyHackRF requires a serial, so the default RSP driver is not probed when only a HackRF is present. The window opens before USB setup so a slow radio no longer looks like a silent crash.
Linux/macOS bundles libhackrf 2026.01.3, which names HackRF Pro correctly (board ID Praline).
Binaries are compiled with CGO_ENABLED=0 (embedded raylib). Each archive includes four timeslot copies of libtetradec.
- Windows portable —
IC-SDR-v0.5.0-english.5-Windows-x64.zipis the full DATA bundle (SoapySDR/RTL-SDR/SDRplay/Miri, DSD-neo, decoders). Run this zip, not the GitHub source tree. IC-SDR v0.5.0-english.3 — Windows, Linux, macOS
English IC-SDR based on upstream v0.5.0, with RSP-Dx antenna A/B/C switching.
The RSPdx API defaults to Antenna A. This build calls Soapy setAntenna and reapplies the selected port after the IQ stream starts and after retune so ports B and C stay selected.
Binaries are compiled with CGO_ENABLED=0 (embedded raylib). Each archive includes four timeslot copies of libtetradec.
- Windows portable —

IC-SDR v0.5.0-english.13 — Windows, Linux, macOS
Satellite observer location is now changeable. Azimuth, elevation, range, horizon visibility, next-pass AOS/TCA/LOS, and ADS-B CPR all use the saved site instead of a hardcoded Madrid default.
- SATELLITES is under MENU → TOOLS. Set name/lat/lon/alt and press Enter or APPLY, or click empty map (not a satellite marker).
- Saved in
DATA/config/satellite-station.json. Australia defaults to Sydney; a leftover Madrid file is replaced when the app country is not Spain. A location you save is kept. - Tune still uses the catalog downlink; there is no Doppler correction.
