Standalone executable

No install needed — download the file without the .tar.gz suffix,
then make it executable:

chmod +x ctar-<version>-<platform>
./ctar-<version>-<platform> --help

Platform requirements:

• linux-x86_64 — x86_64, glibc 2.28 or newer
  (RHEL 8 / Rocky 8 / Alma 8 and newer, Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+)
• macos-arm64 — Apple Silicon, macOS 13.3 or newer

Full package (.tar.gz)

Contains the executable plus headers, static libraries, CMake package
config and a pkg-config file, for using ctar as a library:

sudo tar -xzf ctar-<version>-<platform>.tar.gz -C /usr/local
sudo ldconfig

Verify your download against SHA256SUMS.
