Install on macOS

Apple Silicon only. These builds are not yet signed, so the cask clears macOS's quarantine flag for you — nothing to approve under Privacy & Security.

Which download?

Tip

On macOS (Apple Silicon), use Homebrew — one command, and upgrades are handled for you.

Otherwise take the native zip. It is the smallest download and the lightest to run: ~160 MB resident when idle, against ~250 MB for the JVM build on the same machine.

If the native build misbehaves, fall back to the installer. It is the same wallet on a bundled Java runtime, and the JVM path has considerably more mileage on it — the native builds for Windows and Linux are new.

yano-wallet-native-<os>_<arch>_<ver>.zip	Start here. Ahead-of-time compiled — unzip, run run.sh (run.bat on Windows). No Java, no install. Smallest at ~160 MB.
yano-wallet-<os>_<arch>_<ver>.dmg / .msi / .deb	Normal installer with a bundled Java runtime. Installs into Applications / Start Menu.
yano-wallet-<ver>-portable.zip	One archive for every platform, for people who already run JDK 25+. Also the only option for Linux arm64 and Intel Mac, which have no native build.
yano-connector-<ver>.zip	The browser extension for dApp support (CIP-30). Optional — add it to any of the above. Not on the Chrome Web Store yet, so load it unpacked.

Every artifact bundles the Yano node, so the wallet can run its own full node with nothing else installed.

Known limitations

• No native build for Linux arm64 or Intel Mac — use the installer or portable zip.
• The Windows and Linux native builds pass CI but have had little hands-on use. Reports welcome.
