Eight Again v0.1.0 — native television practice
Pre-releaseEight Again v0.1.0
A native Fire TV / Vega rehearsal: watch a short dance section, take five seconds, practise from memory, and watch it again. Three sections, three rounds each. The remote controls pace, section and pause; section, speed and daily progress survive a process restart.
Install
- EightAgain-armv7.vpkg: compatible Fire TV hardware with Vega OS 1.2+. Initial trial targets: Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025) and Fire TV Stick HD (2026, second generation), after their system update.
- EightAgain-x86_64.vpkg: official Vega Virtual Device on an x86_64 host.
- EightAgain-aarch64.vpkg: official Vega Virtual Device on an Apple Silicon host.
The development preview uses the Vega SDK installation route. Setup and remote controls. Retail-device testing and teacher delivery through Live App Testing are the next stages.
Recorded native run
Built with SDK 0.24.12112, React Native 0.83, on Ubuntu 24.04 / KVM. Successful build and official virtual-device recording, runtime source 10be210eb4cc0bb9def6a9d9c06f2efcdf264a9d. The release tag adds installation documentation to that runtime source.
EightAgain-native-runtime.mp4 is the full 100-second X11 recording, including the complete practice cycle, both speeds, section changes and a process restart. progress-check.json records the saved second section, 1× speed, round counts [1, 0, 0], and the new process actually playing that section at 48.006 seconds.
Watch the practice and arrange a free teacher trial. The proposed future student price is a one-off US$9.99.
