Blanc 1.0.1

Blanc 1.0.1 is a maintenance release for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It fixes
the Windows restart handoff that could leave an old Blanc process running while
the installer tried to replace it.

Fixed

  • The Windows installer now closes the old Blanc process and retries for a
    bounded period before asking for manual intervention. This replaces the
    failure mode where the first install attempt said Blanc could not be closed
    and clicking Retry later succeeded.
  • Restart Now on Windows now tears down every Blanc browser surface after
    session data has been preserved, with a forced-exit backstop if Chromium does
    not finish shutting down promptly. This also prevents an old instance from
    reclaiming the relaunch and offering the same update again.

Other platforms

The macOS and Linux application behavior is unchanged. All three platforms are
built from the same v1.0.1 source tag and published with one SHA-256 manifest.
