A small release on top of v0.2.7: public/index.html answers at /, and the error pages get the mascot.
Fixed: public/index.html is served at /
staticFile gave up before checking for index.html whenever a request's path reduced to the site root, so the app's own public/index.html could never answer GET /. The request always fell through to the development welcome page, or straight to public/404.html. The root now resolves to index.html like any other static path, and falls back to welcome or 404 only when the file is actually missing.
echo '<h1>Hello</h1>' > public/index.html # already matched by //go:embed *.html
bogie s # GET / serves it, in every environmentA controller mounted at / still wins over both.
Changed: 404 and 500 pages get the mascot treatment
public/404.html and public/500.html now embed Bogie's mascot art (public/images/bogie-404.webp, bogie-500.webp) and are styled to match the welcome page's palette, instead of a bare heading and a line of text. The go:embed pattern in public/public.go widens to *.html images to carry them. The welcome, 404 and 500 markup is also indented under <head>/<body> (whitespace only).
Install / upgrade
go install github.com/bogie-go/bogie@latest # v0.2.8An existing app: commit your work, then bogie app:update to carry the new public/404.html, public/500.html, public/images/, public/public.go and app/controllers/public.go forward. If you edited either error page, only a real overlap leaves conflict markers.
