Add project guidance in .claude/CLAUDE.md and a shared .claude/settings.json permission set. Machine-specific bits (local virtualenv path, GPG signing) live in a gitignored .claude/CLAUDE.local.md; gitignore the personal settings.local.json and CLAUDE.local.md. Adds Claude Code project config for the 1.4 maintenance line:
.claude/CLAUDE.md— project guidance (branch context, build, tests, lint, architecture, logging conventions)..claude/settings.json— shared permission allow/ask/deny set..gitignore— ignore the personal.claude/settings.local.jsonand.claude/CLAUDE.local.md.Machine-specific bits (local virtualenv path, GPG signing details) are kept out of the shared files and belong in a gitignored
.claude/CLAUDE.local.md, so other contributors are unaffected.
