New encoder settings in both CLI and GUI, each with an explanation and recommended values (GUI shows them as tooltips):
- Bitrate mode (
--vbitrate, kbps): predictable file size instead of constant quality; 3000–4000 kbps is transparent for SD DV. 0 (default) = CRF quality mode. - x264 preset (
--preset): slower presets are ~15–20% smaller at the same quality; all faster than real time for DV. Default: veryfast. - Resolution (
--scale WxH): default keeps the source size (recommended for archiving); scaling auto-enables deinterlacing (scaling interlaced fields would corrupt them). - Audio bitrate (
--abitrate, kbps): default 192 (transparent).
