hunk why opens your working-tree review in Hunk with a note on each hunk explaining why Claude Code wrote it: your request and the agent's reasoning at the time of the edit, read from your local Claude Code transcripts.
- Matches hunks to both file-edit tool calls and shell commands (heredocs and scripts), tolerating formatter rewrites.
- Hunks it can't trace get no note; the summary reports coverage.
- Runs locally with no network requests; the notes file is private and deleted when Hunk exits.
Install: hunk extension install bottercode/hunk-why
