v0.42.0
Added
- Errors, above Monitor on the left. Every five minutes each project's failures are counted by
their message, with ids and numbers masked. An error the project never had is announced as new,
with the pull request merged just before it; one you resolved that comes back, as back; and a
known one running at four times its usual rate, as escalating. Pick one to see who it hits, the
version it came in and its latest lines, and Ask Claude to fix it. An error can be snoozed,
or ignored unless it escalates. - With a query watched or a project's errors looked at, closing the window leaves Flux in the menu
bar, still watching. Its icon has Open Flux and Quit Flux; Settings › Advanced › Window closed
turns it off. - A group by table works out metrics per value beside the count, as in
| group by route | p95(took_ms), max(took_ms): avg, min, max, sum, unique, and any percentile
from p50 to p99. - The tour has a step for Errors.
Changed
- Notifications and Queries open beside Monitor and Errors too.
- The value inspector closes from a ✕ beside copy in its header; its button on the right stripe is
gone.
Fixed
- On local files and containers, the deploy radar and the Monitor counted no failures.
- ⌘R, ⌘W and the explorer's other keys acted on consoles hidden behind Monitor or Errors.
- A console opened from Search Everywhere, a link or an alert while Monitor or Errors was in front
stayed hidden behind it.

- feat(site): the drawn app as it looks now
- feat: the tour shows Errors, and draws the app as it looks now
- feat: Errors, and Flux watching from the menu bar with the window closed
- feat: a group by table works out p95, avg and the rest beside the count
- build: make dev-signed again, so the keychain does not ask a development build
- fix: a local source reads a field over a group of values
v0.41.0
Added
- Each group by table, and the patterns table, has a ⋮ at the end of its header that exports
that table alone, as CSV or JSON, in the order it is sorted on screen.
Fixed
- A local log, a container and a Kibana data view no longer offer Graylog's Copy Stream ID and
Copy Graylog URL. A data view's menu copies its name, id and Discover URL; a local log its
file name and path, a container its name, and a local connection its folder. - A row in History or Saved Queries stays marked while its right-click menu is open.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.41.0
- feat: a group by table exports itself from the ⋮ at the end of its header
- fix: a history or saved query row stays marked while its menu is open
- fix: local and Kibana connections' menus copy what they have, not Graylog's
v0.40.1
Added
- The Connections menu has Import connections… and Export connections… above Reconnect and
Refresh. Export writes the connections you choose, their projects and their saved queries to
one file, without their tokens; Import reads that file, or a .env with Graylog lines, shows
what is new before anything changes, and opens Settings to add the tokens it did not carry.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.40.1
- fix: the release asks the bucket whether a version exists, not the CDN
v0.39.1
Fixed
- The island no longer opens on an empty space above its rows after deploys leave the radar,
when more than one project is linked to the same repository.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.39.1
- fix: the island keeps no empty room above its rows once deploys leave the radar
v0.39.0
This update is required: every older copy installs it before it can be used again.
Added
- A saved query, and a query in the History, can be shared: right-click it and choose Copy a
link to this view. Whoever opens the link gets the same stream, query and range in their own
Flux, through their own connection; the link never carries a token.
Fixed
- For a few minutes, the update to 0.38.0 was a build without Flux's signature, and a Mac that
installed it asked for the keychain password. 0.39.0 is signed and notarized, and every copy
moves to it.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.39.0
- feat: saved queries and the history copy a link to their view
v0.38.0
Added
- The Connection Explorer's button on the left hides the explorer when it is already open, and
the editor takes the room. Clicked again, the explorer comes back at the width it had. - The value inspector marks the value under the pointer with a grey box, and Copy value in its
right-click menu copies all of it, without selecting it first.
Fixed
- The Connection Explorer keeps the width it was dragged to, through hiding it and through a
relaunch, and opens at that width straight away. - Dragging the Connection Explorer's edge no longer stutters while a console is open.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.38.0
- feat: the inspector marks the value under the pointer, and Copy value takes all of it
- feat: the Connection Explorer keeps its width, and its stripe button hides it
- style: the site's title reads Flux | an IDE for logs on your Mac
- feat: the site shows a picture when a link to it is shared
v0.37.0
This update is required: every older copy installs it before it can be used again.
Added
- The query console completes values: after
field:it offers the values that field holds in
the streams and window being searched, most frequent first, with how often each occurs. Picking
one writes it quoted, ready to run.
Fixed
- Escape closes Settings, discarding what was changed, as Cancel does. A dropdown or a
confirmation open in front of it closes first. - Double Shift, ⇧⌘F and ⇧⌘O no longer open Search Everywhere behind Settings or another dialog.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.37.0
- fix: the keymap page keys its rows by shortcut
- fix: Search Everywhere no longer opens behind Settings
- fix: Escape closes Settings, and leaves what was changed unsaved
- feat: the console completes a field's values after field:
- docs: the README's screenshot with demo data instead of masks
- build: only the newest release keeps its installers on GitHub
- docs: no quarantine flag to clear, and the tokens are in the keychain
v0.36.0
This update is required: every older copy installs it before it can be used again, so every Mac
moves to the signed build.
Added
- Flux is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. A downloaded Flux opens like
any other Mac app; there is no quarantine flag to clear any more. save_queryfor agents: after a deploy, Claude Code can leave a saved query behind in the
Queries panel, watched for new matches or for silence, so the change is followed without
anyone setting it up by hand.
Changed
- Connection tokens and API keys are kept in the macOS keychain again, one entry per connection
under the name Flux, instead of inconnections.json. They move there by themselves on the
first launch; nothing has to be entered again. - A Graylog connection shows Graylog's own mark, and the sign-in screen and the tour draw the
app's own icons. - macOS may ask once more for access it gave the unsigned build, such as a folder of logs: the
signature it remembers has changed.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.36.0
- feat: connection tokens back in the keychain, now that releases are signed
- build: a release is signed with Developer ID and notarized, or it is not released
- fix(docs): the Claude Code page moves to /claude-code, out of Mintlify's own /mcp
- feat(mcp): save_query, so an agent can leave a watch behind after a deploy
- feat(site): log lines drifting through the sky, now and then a deploy
- feat(site): an interstitial between the story and where it ran
- style(site): the sky's streams blurred by 5px
- fix(site): the island's dot stays while the pointer grows the pill
- style(site): the island's dot only on the closed pill
- fix(site): the reading lane covers the hero from the first scroll
- feat(site): a reading lane behind the chapters, following the scroll
- style: Graylog's own mark beside a Graylog connection
- fix(site): the footer's last links take their clicks again
- fix(auth): GitHub and Google sign-in come back to the callback page
- fix(site): the drawn search types the whole word, with the caret on its last letter
- fix(site): the console tab never gets a green underline
- feat(site): the landing page plays one incident forward
- fix(site): the docs paths never meet the asset layer or its cache
- fix(site): a missing page is never cached
- fix(site): the trace card's rows fit its grid, and the watch card's balloon shows whole
- feat(site): the previews drawn as the app's own components
- chore: Prettier leaves the local Claude settings alone, and formats the docs
- feat: the app's own icons on the sign-in slice and the tour
- feat(site): the documentation under /docs, proxied from Mintlify
- chore: the Mintlify MCP server, for the project
- docs: the documentation site, for Mintlify
- feat: flux.emreb.dev — the landing page, privacy policy and terms
v0.35.0
Added
- View options on the Connection Explorer's toolbar: icons, request counts, error rates, colour
by health, compact rows, and how endpoints are sorted, without opening Settings.
Commits
- docs: changelog for 0.35.0
- feat: view options on the Connection Explorer
v0.34.0
Added
- A splash at launch: Flux's name and version while it starts up and checks for an update.
- An update is taken before anything else: a newer version opens the update screen at launch
and is installed before going on. The sign-in screen checks every hour too.
Fixed
- Closing the window with its red button quits Flux, rather than leaving it running without a
window.
