Watch-only fix: the ▲/▼ arrows in the custom date picker showed as empty boxes on the Pebble Time 2 (missing font glyphs). They're now drawn as proper triangles.

Watch task menu

Tidied into submenus: Done · Cancel · Add tag… · Due date… · Remind…

• Due date… → Today / Tomorrow / Pick a day… / Custom…, then choose Just the date or Date + reminder.
• Custom… is a year/month/day picker (hold ▲/▼ to run through values) — any date works now, no 7-day limit.
• Remind… keeps the quick presets (in 1h, tonight, tomorrow morning, next week, on a day…).

Android

• Update check runs once per launch (no repeated GitHub calls).

Install

• Android: ObsidianTasksPebbleBridge-v2.5.apk below.

Polish + fixes on top of v2.4.

• Keyboard no longer covers the group rules — the Setup page now scrolls above the keyboard while editing tag rules (#2).
• In-app watch installer fixed — the bundled Pebble app was stale, so installing from Setup → Local now delivers the current watch app with all the new features.
• Action menu tidy-up (from testing): the open-task title is more compact so all options fit, and Set due date… moved to the end of the list.

Cancel tasks (#1)

• New Cancel option in the watch action menu — marks the task as - [x] ~~task~~ (checked + strikethrough) and drops it from the watch, keeping it in the vault as cancelled.

Set due date / tag from the watch (#3)

• The watch action menu now has Set due date… (pick a weekday → stamps 📅) and Add tag… (pick from your configured tags → appends #tag), for any existing task.

Keyboard fix (#2)

• The Setup page now scrolls above the keyboard, so the tag-rule fields stay visible while editing.

Android — refresh automático do vault (sem Tasker)

• Novo: a app abre o Obsidian sozinha antes de sincronizar, para o Obsidian Sync puxar o vault mais recente, e volta ao ecrã inicial. Ativa o interruptor no separador Sync (pede a permissão "Mostrar por cima de outras apps" com uma explicação do porquê).
• Frequência configurável de abertura do Obsidian (4×/dia por defeito), separada do refresh do relógio (que continua a cada 15 min, invisível).
• Consciente do bloqueio: com o ecrã bloqueado o Android impede a abertura, por isso sincroniza do disco e volta a tentar assim que desbloqueias.
• Modo invisível (Shizuku), opcional: para quem tem o Shizuku, abre o Obsidian em segundo plano sem pop-up, mesmo com o telemóvel bloqueado. Se o Shizuku não estiver disponível, usa o método visível.
• Privacidade: os broadcasts internos deixaram de ser legíveis por outras apps.
• O separador deixou de mostrar as instruções do Tasker (o método antigo continua a funcionar por baixo).

Watchapp

• Linha "New note" alinhada com o microfone e mais compacta (36px).
• Aviso "Sync incomplete" quando uma lista se perde, em vez de ficar desatualizada em silêncio.
• Correção de pins órfãos na timeline (PKJS).

• Android: descarrega ObsidianTasksPebbleBridge-v2.3.apk abaixo.
• Pebble: instala pela Rebble store, ou faz sideload do obsidian-tasks-v2.3.pbw.

• Larger notification status-bar icon so the Obsidian gem glyph fills more of the slot.

Android app and Pebble watch app now share the same version and move side by side.

Highlights

• Exact task matching — task lines are matched by exact open-checkbox text instead of a fragile contains() substring check (no more wrong task toggled).
• Reboot reminder re-arm — reminders persisted in ReminderStore are re-scheduled after device reboot / app update (previously lost on reboot).
• Serialized vault I/O — all SAF read-modify-write operations run on a single-thread executor, eliminating the write-truncate race; raw Threads replaced.
• Stable alarm IDs — persisted counter instead of timestamp-derived IDs (avoids collisions).
• Notification icon — reminders now use the monochrome Obsidian-gem silhouette (transparent, system-tinted) instead of the generic info icon.
• Watch app — outbox-begin failures now give explicit haptic + on-screen feedback; NUL-terminated cache strings; timeline pin push skipped when no usable token.

Preview tab — Tasks preview and Scheduled reminders moved to their own tab (left of Setup); the app still opens on Setup.

Auto-sync without opening Obsidian (Tasker) — new SYNC_NOW broadcast action lets an automation app (e.g. Tasker) trigger a vault re-read + push to the watch without opening the UI. This works around Obsidian Sync only refreshing the phone files while the Obsidian app is open. An in-app step-by-step tutorial was added to the Sync tab.

UI polish — Material save icon, six-dot drag handle, tab icons (clock / gear / sync), and a pending-reminder count in the reminders header.

Android-only release; the watch app (.pbw) is unchanged since v0.7.

• Notification actions — reminder notifications now have Done (marks the task - [x] in the vault and re-syncs the watch) and Snooze 1h buttons.
• Pin reminders are non-destructive — setting a reminder from a timeline pin records an Obsidian scheduled date (⏳) and no longer overwrites the task's real due date (📅).
• Empty-state illustrations for reminders, task preview and tag rules.
• Vault-access-lost warning — if the saved folder permission is gone (reinstall / moved folder) the app says so clearly instead of failing silently.
• Predictive back gesture (Android 13+).
