  • Share your minutes. The Minutes Reader has a new Share button. Send minutes by email with one click (formatted body, file attached), open the macOS share sheet for Messages, AirDrop, Notes, or Slack, or copy them ready to paste: Copy for Slack formats headings, bullets, and action items the way Slack expects and brings Slack forward; Copy as Rich Text pastes cleanly into Gmail, Google Docs, or Notion; Copy as Markdown for everything else.

  • Snapshots now confirm themselves. Take a snapshot during a recording, from the camera button or from your iPhone, and a small card appears in the top-right corner with the captured image, the moment it was noted in the transcript, and a Show button that opens the file. If a capture fails, the card tells you why.
  • Snapshots work in any meeting. When there is no Zoom meeting window on screen, the snapshot captures your whole screen (every display) instead of doing nothing, so it works for Google Meet, Teams, a shared slide deck, or anything else you are looking at.

  • Join & Record before your meetings. A few minutes before a calendar meeting with a Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or Webex link, a small card appears in the top-right corner: one click joins the call and starts a recording named after the meeting. Works with any calendar synced to your Mac, including Google. Lead time is adjustable in Settings → Recording Options.
  • Zoom detection uses the same card. When a Zoom meeting opens without a calendar event behind it, the record offer now appears as the same unobtrusive card instead of a pop-up dialog, and goes away on its own when the meeting ends.
  • Use Scribe with OpenAI Codex. Settings → Meeting Minutes Skill → "Install for Codex…" gives Codex CLI the same local meetings server Claude Desktop uses — your transcripts still never leave your Mac.
  • Fixed "name recordings after the current calendar event," which could not read your calendar before.

  • Fixed the microphone failing to start — or dropping out a few seconds into a recording — with Bluetooth earbuds and headsets. Scribe now rides through the headset's switch into call mode instead of losing the mic, and recovers automatically if the device disconnects.

  • Fixed a bug where a recording could silently capture nothing and later crash. It happened when the microphone in use had changed since the previous recording — for example, switching between a Bluetooth headset and the built-in mic.
  • If the microphone can't be started, or stops working mid-meeting, Scribe now keeps recording system audio and tells you, instead of losing the meeting.

Ready for Scribe Remote, the iPhone app coming soon to the App Store. Settings → iPhone Remote prepares this Mac for the companion app: once paired with a six-digit code, your phone can start, pause, resume, stop, snapshot, or mark a recording, follow the live transcript, and ask the Mac to check for updates. It is off by default and does nothing until you turn it on. It uses peer-to-peer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so it works even where office Wi-Fi blocks device discovery. macOS asks for Local Network permission the first time.

Screen Recording permission always offers Open Settings. macOS shows its Screen Recording prompt only once per app; when Request can't prompt again, the Permissions row and the welcome guide now take you straight to the right System Settings pane.

Under the hood, the transcript format, search chunking, checklist logic and the remote protocol moved into a shared package used by both the Mac app and the upcoming iPhone app.

Extension in the welcome guide. First launch now ends with an optional step to install the Scribe Meetings extension for Claude Desktop — the same one-click install as Settings → Meeting Minutes. It never blocks getting started, and if Claude Desktop isn't installed it points you to Settings for later.

No other changes since 0.13.1.
