What changed

Fixed

• A transient 503 from an object store sank the whole upload. The retry
  budget was widened to six attempts a release ago, and a test proves a 503 is
  classified as retryable — but for an upload none of that could ever fire.
  The SDK rewinds a request body before retrying it, and every upload surface
  hands the S3 driver a plain stream (the handler sniffs the first bytes to
  detect the type and rejoins them), so there was nothing to rewind: the second
  attempt died before it was made and a brief upstream wobble became a
  permanent failure, reported as "failed to rewind transport stream for retry,
  request stream is not seekable" — a message about filex's plumbing rather
  than the outage behind it. The budget was real for listings and reads and a
  no-op for writes. An upload that declares a size of at most 8 MiB is now held
  in memory while it is sent, so a retry replays it byte for byte; a larger one
  streams through as before, because buffering every body would trade a rare
  failed upload for an out-of-memory kill. See

Changed

• pnpm run build:packages / build:web / build now quote their workspace
  filters in a way cmd.exe also understands. They matched nothing on Windows
  — the single quotes reached pnpm literally — so build:all, a documented
  release step, could not run on a Windows workstation at all.
• CONTRIBUTING.md says what to do when Go lives in WSL and pnpm does not:
  build:all ends in a plain go build, and the screenshots boot that binary.
