🎯 Major Token Efficiency Improvement

This release dramatically reduces the PARA plugin's context footprint by 79% (2,957 → 621 lines), saving ~7k tokens in every Claude session.

Changes

File Size Reductions:

• resources/CLAUDE.md: 967 → 121 lines (87% ↓)
• commands/plan.md: 607 → 98 lines (84% ↓)
• commands/execute.md: 422 → 91 lines (78% ↓)
• commands/help.md: 362 → 66 lines (82% ↓)
• commands/check.md: 151 → 37 lines (75% ↓)
• commands/init.md: 176 → 62 lines (65% ↓)
• commands/status.md: 89 → 50 lines (44% ↓)
• commands/summarize.md: 86 → 39 lines (55% ↓)
• commands/archive.md: 97 → 57 lines (41% ↓)

What Was Removed

Content that was redundant, aspirational (MCP), or standard LLM behavior:

• Full/minimal CLAUDE.md templates (~210 lines)
• Tool Output Guidance section (~180 lines) - all default Claude behavior
• MCP aspirational sections (~100 lines) - not yet implemented
• Meta-commentary, philosophy, closing thoughts (~50 lines)
• Redundant directory explanations
• "Why" justifications, duplicate decision trees
• Example questions, worked examples, ASCII flowcharts
• Anti-patterns, "be a good AI" instructions

What's Preserved

All core behavioral rules remain intact:

• ✅ context/ directory structure and YYYY-MM-DD- file naming
• ✅ Workflow loop: Plan → Review → Execute → Summarize → Archive
• ✅ context/context.md JSON block format
• ✅ Git conventions: para/{task-name} branches, commit-per-todo
• ✅ Collaborative planning with AskUserQuestion
• ✅ Simple vs phased plan support
• ✅ All workflow commands

Impact

• Token savings: ~7,000 fewer tokens per session
• Faster loading: 79% less content to process
• Same functionality: Zero behavioral changes
• Better maintainability: Leaner, focused documentation

Migration

If you have an existing ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md from a previous version, it will contain the old verbose version. To update:

The plugin will copy the new trimmed version on next /para:init
