036d644

Bug fixes

  • Info.version is now always a single string. Printers that report several firmware components (seen on Brother, Lexmark, Samsung, and Xerox models) returned a list for printer-firmware-string-version, which made Home Assistant log a deprecation warning about a non-string sw_version. Multiple values are now joined into one comma-separated string. (#1, fixes home-assistant/core#172541)

  • Counters.supported lists which counters the printer reports, so a counter reported as unknown can be told apart from one the printer does not have
  • Out-of-band members of printer-impressions-completed-col are kept as None instead of being dropped (impressions_completed_col is now dict[str, int | None])
  • The impressions total is only derived from the collection when every member has a value, so a partial collection never yields an undercount

  • Drop the unused backoff dependency and async-timeout; Python 3.11 or newer is now required
  • Type the request headers so newer aiohttp stubs accept them
  • CI runs on Python 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13

First release of aioipp, a maintained fork of pyipp 0.17.2.

  • Add page counter support: Printer.counters with impressions, pages, media sheets, and the monochrome/full-color impression collection
  • Counters the printer does not report, or reports as an IPP out-of-band value, are None
  • Distribution renamed to aioipp; the import name remains pyipp
