malloc/assertion fails when db name is of length 25 #822
Description
We've been hitting a bug in mysql2 / MariaDB / activesupport that triggers on specific SQL queries when the database name length is 25.
This is reproducible on various ruby versions, with mysql2 0.3 and 0.4 as well as activesupport 5.0, 4.2 and 3.2.
Here's a repo that reproduces the issue (within a docker container), from which I'm sure you'll be able to obtain a core dump.
Here's a sample of the output of the crash (please disregard puma, which is unrelated, the reproduction works straight in ruby):
