First release under MIT OR Apache-2.0, and the first with every component on one version.

License

Upstream relicensed macroxue/bridge-solver from GPL-2.0 to MIT OR Apache-2.0 in dc2d4df (2026-08-14). The double-dummy solver core here is a Rust reimplementation of that work, so its GPL obligation falls away with upstream's, and this project follows the same pairing rather than narrowing what downstream users get.

Licensed under either of Apache License, Version 2.0 or MIT license, at your option. Both files carry Hanhong Xue's copyright notice alongside this project's, as those licences require.

If you have an earlier build

Prior releases are withdrawn and their terms no longer reflect this project:

  • v0.1.0 declared the Unlicense, which was never a grant this project could make — the solver core was a GPL-2.0 derivative at the time.
  • v0.4.0 correctly declared GPL-2.0-only, which was right until upstream relicensed.

Either way, MIT OR Apache-2.0 now applies. There is nothing you need to do; this release is strictly more permissive than both.

1.0.0

The crate, the WebAssembly bindings and the web app had drifted onto different numbers. All are now 1.0.0, so the tag means the same thing everywhere. 1.0.0 rather than another 0.x because the licence is settled, the PBN annotation pass in #8 completed the CLI, and the public surface is one worth committing to.

Archives

Each .tar.gz / .zip contains bridge-solver (PBN double-dummy processor), solver-diag (diagnostic CLI), both licence files, and the README — for linux-x86_64, macos-x86_64, macos-aarch64 and windows-x86_64.
