This is an updated version of XraySpec, a GUI application built using NiceGUI packaged as a standalone .exe with nicegui-pack. This program helps visualising (handheld) XRF spectra with annotated chemical elements and allows adjustments to the spectra. Currently, only Windows is supported.

New Features

  • Reset Buttons: Input fields now include reset buttons, allowing users to quickly revert to the default values.

UI Improvements

  • Centered Layout: Elements that were previously off-center are now properly aligned for a cleaner look.

Existing Features

  • GUI built with NiceGUI
  • Supports loading .csv and .cfg files generated with PyMca
  • Interactive and customisable plotting based on the Matplotlib package
  • Automated peak annotation using PyMca configuration
  • Fully standalone packaging for Windows (no Python environment required)

Known Issues

  • Negative Y-axis minimal values not supported (due to log scale limitation)
  • Please report any bugs or feature requests via GitHub Issues

Thank you for using XraySpec. Your feedback is always welcome!
