Features

  • AppImage support dropped — BrightTable now ships as Flatpak only, with a much simpler install guide in the README.
  • Settings folder / shared credential vault can now be moved while the app is running, instead of requiring a restart to take effect.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a startup bug where screens (Photos, Folders, Albums, People, Tags, Trash) could show a false "No API key configured" error if they loaded before the credential vault finished opening.
  • Fixed the credential vault being extremely slow to open/save (up to ~40s) due to unnecessary encryption overhead — now near-instant.
  • Fixed the Flatpak's listed version number being frozen/stale (now updates automatically on each release).
  • Fixed video playback failing under Flatpak's sandboxed temp directory in some cases.

Cleanup

  • Removed now-unused AppImage build scripts and docs.
  • Dev-only resource usage chart no longer shows in production builds.
