Behavior changes from 3.11.3

  • 429 and GET 502/503/504 are retried up to 3 times (~1/2/4s). An integer Retry-After up to 10s is honored; a longer one raises immediately with retry_after / retryAfter set.
  • GET requests retry network failures (refused/reset connections, DNS, connect timeout, a body cut off mid-read). Writes, read timeouts, TLS certificate failures, x402 and custom fetch are never retried.
  • TypeScript no longer follows redirects. An http:// baseUrl now fails with BrowserUseError 301; use https://api.browser-use.com.
  • Python V4 typed RunBrowserSettings sends only fields you set. proxyCountryCode=None now means no proxy; leaving it unset uses the server default (follow-ups inherit the session's proxy).
  • A spend-limit 402 raises APIKeySpendLimitError (a BrowserUseError); match on the type or e.detail, not the message text.
  • Re-awaiting a failed async V3 run handle re-raises the original error instead of creating a new session; call client.run() again.
  • browser_use_sdk.v2 / browser-use-sdk/v2 now export the full V2 API, so code can move to the v2 import before 4.0.
