Skrive v1.9.0 — The writer's desk

This release reimagines the app's chrome. Tabs are gone, the sidebar becomes a place to write from, and the toolbar stops growing — three surfaces reworked into one coherent idea of where your documents, your navigation, and your tools live.

Tabs are retired

No more strip of tabs across the top. The document you're in is named right in the header. Click the title (or use quick-open) to summon your working set — a recency stack of what you've been in — and jump. Switching is faster, and Skrive no longer has to remember an ever-growing pile of open documents.

The sidebar is now a writer's desk

The sidebar answers what am I working on first and where is everything else second:

• Pinned — the documents you keep close, held at the top.
• Recent — what you've touched lately, roomy and easy to scan.
• Folders as filters — narrow the library to a folder or sort it however you like, with a clean shelf-tree view, instead of digging through a rigid file tree.
• Quick-open + New always within reach at the top.

A calmer toolbar

The toolbar is now fixed — it holds a small, permanent set and won't sprawl as new features arrive. Formatting lives in the selection bubble, insertion in the slash menu and a single Insert catalog, and everything else in the command palette. A fresh monochrome icon family ties it together.
