Metroid Prime Origins Switch wrapper v1.1.0

GOOD NEWS: I had the pleasure of assisting Lv.4 in putting out an official Origins Android APK! So now 100% full speed is possible on the Switch like Samus intended :).

Important

Install (Windows)

  1. Extract this zip.
  2. Run tools/Prepare SD Card YYC.bat.
  3. Select your Metroid Prime Origins 1.5 or above APK.
  4. Copy sd_card/mpo_nx/ → sdmc:/switch/mpo_nx/.
  5. Launch mpo_nx.nro with full RAM (hold R, or use a forwarder).

What’s in the zip

  • mpo_nx/mpo_nx.nro, config.txt, sdl2.txt, gamecontrollerdb.txt
  • tools/Prepare SD Card YYC.bat + prepare_sd.ps1

Notes

  • Note performance does slow down in a few rooms with many sprites, but otherwise runs great.
  • Edit config.txt to adjust: screen dimensions, language, vsync, optional fps display, and whether the game uses docked clocks in handheld (on by default for best performance).

Metroid Prime Origins Switch wrapper v1.0.0

Unofficial homebrew loader for Metroid Prime Origins (Lv.4 Games, GMS2 VM) on modded Nintendo Switch.

Important

  • Origins is a Windows game - there is no official Origins Android APK, so a donor is used instead.
  • You provide your Origins Windows folder (data.win) and a Castlevania ReVamped Android APK (donor runner).
  • Castlevania’s game is open source; YoYo’s libyoyo.so is not redistributed here.

Install (Windows)

  1. Extract this zip.
  2. Run tools/Prepare SD Card.bat.
  3. Select your Metroid Prime Origins 1.0.1 Windows folder (must contain data.win).
  4. Select your Castlevania ReVamped Android APK (known-good: v0.1.16 ARM64 VM).
  5. Copy sd_card/mpo_nx/ → sdmc:/switch/mpo_nx/.
  6. Launch mpo_nx.nro with full RAM (hold R, or use a forwarder).

Notes

  • Keep vsync 0 (vsync locks gameplay ~30 fps).
  • Expect ~75% of PC movement speed (VM limits, no YYC).
